How to View Tips in Cloud Reporting
Find tip totals in Cloud: the Sales Breakdown, the Tips by kiosk module, transaction details, and exported or emailed reports.

This guide explains where tips show up in Cloud reporting and how to export them. New to tipping? Start with How to Enable Tipping.
Once tipping is turned on for a location, Cloud tracks every tip collected at the kiosk. Tips appear on the Dashboard, on each transaction, and in exported and emailed reports.
- Tips only show when tipping is turned on for the location and tips were collected in the selected date range.
- The Total on your reports already includes tips (subtotal + taxes + tips).
📊 How to View Tips
Step 1. Open the Dashboard
- Log in to cloud.mashgin.com and select your location or group.
- Click Dashboard in the left menu.
- Use the date selector at the top right to pick the date range you want to review.
Step 2. Check the Sales Breakdown
- Scroll to the Sales Breakdown module.
- Find the + Tips line. This is the total tips collected for the selected dates.
- The = Total line adds the subtotal, taxes and tips together.
Step 3. View Tips by Kiosk
- Scroll to the Tips module.
- Review the tip total for each kiosk, listed by kiosk ID.
The Tips module only appears when tips were collected during the selected dates.
Step 4. See the Tip on a Single Transaction
- Click Transactions in the left menu.
- Open any transaction to see its details. The tip is listed as its own line, separate from the items.
Step 5. Export or Email the Report
- On the Dashboard, open the Export menu at the top right.
- Choose PDF or CSV to download the summary report, or send it to your email.
- In the export, find the Tips row under Sales Breakdown. The Total row includes tips.
Tips are also included in the daily report email.
⚠️ Where Tips Are Not Included
Tips are not items, so they do not appear in item- or tag-based reports:
- Top Items, Top Tags and Top Labels
- The Item Sales Summary CSV
When reconciling, compare item and tag totals against the Subtotal (or Gross sales in the CSV), not the Total. The Total includes taxes and tips.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
Tips Not Showing in Reports
Issue: The Tips line or Tips module is missing from the Dashboard.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Confirm tipping is turned on for this location. See How to Enable Tipping.
- Check the date range. Tips only show if at least one tip was collected in those dates.
- Make sure the correct location (not a different location in your group) is selected.
- If tips were collected but still don't show, contact support.
